A few days ago I watched Julian Wilson winning the Snapper Rocks WSL event and Marcilio Browne has that same connection with the wave that I don’t believe can really ever be learned. It’s like being able to dance: some people can feel the music – others just can’t. And as Robby Naish famously said of Dunkerbecks’ style, some great sailors can have all the moves but still appear mechanical. MB just flows!
