Most of it is over knee deep and all in the video is at least chest deep. The weed is just very long and in large areas it reaches the surface it just below. In those areas it is glassy flat even in 30 knots of wind! In the bit where there is small waves, the weed is 20-30cm below the surface. Yes weed fins are required. 🙂
